DESAI ON `ATRUPTA ATHMA`

Acclaimed director Sunil Kumar Desai is coming back to Kannada with a big bang. He has chosen versatile actor Ananthnag (remember this combination in Beladingalaagi Baa), Ramesh Aravind, Rangayana Raghu, Lokanath and others for his subject on ‘Atrupta Athmas’.

The news of Sunil Kumar Desai coming back with a new subject on the unfulfilled desires of souls was revealed by Rangayana Raghu speaking to media persons on Thursday at Krishnakumari Estate.

Rangayana Raghu is excited with this subject of Sunil Kumar Desai and he has allocated dates to work with wonderful director.

Rangayana Raghu will be in key role but Ananthnag heads the star cast. RR will be fulfilling the dreams of seven athmas in this film. How he does it is very interesting and social life easily connects to it.

RR remembered one of the Bengali story that was on the ‘Athmas’ going on strike with the demolition of old buildings. The ‘Athmas’ retain one old building in its protest as the house.

Director of Tarka, Utkarsha, Sangarsha, Nishkarsha, Beladingalaagi Baa, Nammura Mandhara Hoove, Prathyartha, Prema Raaga Hadu Gelathi, Sparsha, Parva, Marma, Kshana Kshana, Ramya Chaitra Kala and others taken up starring Prajwal Devaraj, Sunil Rao and Nakshatra was ‘Sarigama’ Kannada cinema. That film also was stalled due to various reasons.

Sunil Kumar Desai announced a film earlier starring Ananthnag and Komal Kumar after ‘Mr Garagasa’. That is kept behind now it seems.
